Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Lake Placid

Lake Placid Olympic Oval

February 18, 2020

Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton will be on Lake Placid's Olympic Skating Oval to raise money for cancer. Join him for this Frozen 5K from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Scott's nonprofit organization, Scott Hamilton CARES, and the Adirondack Health's Merrill Center for Oncology at Adirondack Medical Center.

We're celebrating the anniversary of the 1980 Winter Olympics, so the event will have an '80s theme. So break out your crimper, legwarmers and other favorite '80s gear to go with your skates!

A limited number of skates will be available for rent at the Oval.

Parking will be available at the Lake Placid High School parking lot from 2 to 10 p.m. as well as parking in the Wesvalley lot on Wesvalley Road.
