General surgeries
Some of the general surgery services we offer include:
- trauma surgery
- laparoscopic procedures, also referred to as minimally invasive surgery (a surgeon uses a thin, long tool to operate through very small incisions)
- port, or portacath, placement (a tube is put into a vein, making it easier for medical staff to access your veins for things like giving you fluids or drawing blood)
- lesion removal
- skin graft (skin is removed from one area of the body and attached to another area)
- breast biopsy (tissue is taken from the breast to test it, usually after an abnormality is found through a mammogram or ultrasound)
- mastectomy (surgery to remove a breast)
- lumpectomy (surgery to remove a portion of a breast)
- axillary node dissection (surgery to take out lymph nodes in the armpit)
Specialty surgeries
We perform a wide range of specialty surgeries, including:
- arthroscopy (minimally invasive surgery on a joint to look at and treat damage)
- thoracic surgery (surgery to repair organs in the chest)
- endoscopic (a procedure that uses an endoscope, a thin tube with light and a camera on it, to examine the inside of a person's body)
- orthopedic surgery (surgery on bones and joints)
- video-assisted surgery (minimally invasive surgery that uses a tiny video camera to diagnose and treat problems)
- bariatric (weight loss) surgery
- colorectal surgery (fixes problems with the rectum, anus and colon)
- urologic surgery (fixes problems with the urinary tract and male reproductive organs)
- vascular surgery (fixes problems with arteries, veins and the lymphatic system, a network of tissues and organs that help a person's body get rid of waste)
- angiography (detects problems in blood vessels)
