Bariatric Support Group

Studies show those who attend support groups on a regular basis have a better weight loss. Although you may have a lot going on in your life between work, home & social activities, it’s crucial to make your health a priority. All are welcome, no matter where you are in your weight loss journey. The more you come, the more you’ll meet people & get comfortable.

Our support group offers a “safe place,” a judgement-free zone, where you will feel comfortable with openly sharing life happenings & what you may be struggling with. Most likely, others have experienced & overcome similar struggles! You will leave the meeting with comfort, knowing you are not alone, as well as great tips & tricks that have worked for others, that may work for you as well!

The support group is another opportunity for education as well! You may learn about food choices, meal plans, vitamins and fluid guidelines. Bariatric surgery is a growing field; over time, as research is done, recommendations change. Stay up-to-date with the newest recommendations, which are vital for your health!

Our support group is offered once per month, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6-7 p.m. in the Redfield Board Room at Adirondack Health. These days it’s easier than ever to attend, now that you can join from the comfort of your home via the link below! You owe it to yourself to make this commitment; you’ve invested way too much time & effort into this journey, so take this one hour per month to help you stay focused or get refocused!
