In addition to the services Adirondack Health provides, patients may receive separate bills depending on the setting where care was provided.
Along with hospital services, patients may receive a bill for physician services or laboratory tests provided in the hospital. For example, the medical imaging (X-ray) physicians are contracted through Adirondack Health and bill separately for the services they provide.
Similarly, some of those physicians who provide services in the hospital may or may not participate in the same health plans as the hospital. Patients should ask their physician which plans they participate in when arranging for services in the hospital.
