Get tested for COVId-19

Adirondack Health is now offering open testing for COVID-19.

We have testing clinics opening at our Adirondack Health facilities throughout the region. We've also repurposed our old mobile dental clinic van to provide mobile testing to communities that don't yet have it.

You can show up at our mobile testing sites for drive-in testing, or you can make an appointment ahead of time for quicker service. The response has been strong, so calling ahead is highly recommended.

Call 518-897-2462 to make an appointment.

Any tests at Adirondack Health facility testing sites currently require an appointment.

We encourage you to contact your primary care provider for a test order before coming in.

A nurse will swab your sinuses through your nose for your COVID-19 test.

You will also have the option to have blood drawn to check for the presence of antibodies, which show up if you've already had COVID-19. Note that the CDC currently warns that there is not enough evidence to determine that antibodies mean you're immune to getting COVID-19 again.

Results take about two to four days.

There is no direct cost to the person being tested, but Adirondack Health will collect health insurance information and bill insurance companies. Insurance companies not currently allowed to charge co-pays or deductibles for COVID-19 testing.
